Snapshots from meeting in Istanbul (Kaï)

• May 6th : Arrival
  Meet and greet at airport
  Transfer by private coach to Güzel Sanatlar Lisesi. Guests hosted will have dinner in the families. The others will be welcomed in school with dinner. After entertainment, visitors will be taken to settle into their accommodation : Zübeyde Hanim Hotel or Green Park Hotel.
   
• May 7th : Work-sessions
   
  Welcome reception, then students are being introduced to their 'buddies' then will work on the Reachout Ebru Posters and scarves
  Teachers will work on preparations for the final report and the exhibition and conferences. There will be two separate work-shops for the two projects. Meanwhile, the headmasters will meet with their Turkish host, Ms Nurhan Hocaoglu, comparing and discussing the educational systems and their differences...
  Lunch at school, at about 1 pm.
  From 2pm, partners in the 'Cultural identity and tourism development project' will present their project to the turkish host and partners in Reachout project. Each team will have about 10 minutes to present its members, tell why they took part in this project, the way they worked during last three years and present a 'sample' of their production...
  Participants from Czech Republic, Northern Ireland and Ankara Police College will join the meeting in the afternoon.
  'Turkish evening' ! Dinner will take place on the Anatolian side of the Bosphorus' Fortress. In the evening, excursion to local areas...After entertainment, visitors will be taken either by bus or hosts to their accommodation.
   
• May 8th - City-Tour and Dinner-dance
  After breakfast, pick up at Green Park Hotel (8.30 am) or Teacher's Hotel (8.50 am) and transfer to school
  City tour of the European side of Istanbul, including the Grand Bazaar, Miniature Turkey (Minitürk), Topkapi Palace and the mosques in Sultan Ahmet area
  Packed lunch or lunch at Sultan Ahmet Köfte restaurant
  Dinner is being offered at school by our host but, if you prefer, you may have free time in the centre of the town...
  Back to hotel at about 8 pm
   
• May 9th - Conferences and Dinner-cruise
  After breakfast, all participants will meet at 9.00 am in Green Park Hotel and prepare exhibition and conferences
  10.00 : Headmistress Nurham will welcome VIP guests, Jacky will introduce the partners and presentations will begin...
  12.00 : Break for lunch - A lunch box will be provided and participants may taste specialities brought by partners in the projects.
  1 pm : Professor Dr. Oğuz Polat will give a talk on child abuse in Turkey
  1.45 pm : Coffee break
  2 pm : Presentation by the Children’s Police Force of KANKA. (Best Friend)
  3.30 pm : Closing speeches
  Free time for relaxation and preparation for evening cruise...
  From 6 pm : Transfer to Istanbul bay side
  7.30 pm : Dinner-cruise along the Bosphorus, with San Müzik Tur
  11.30 pm: Transfer by bus to accommodation place
   
• May 10th - Final meeting
  For participants leaving (from France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland) : transfer at airport
  Other participants : at 10.30 am :  Bus will collect remaining guests from Green Park and Teacher’s hotel for a tour on the Anatolian  side of Istanbul to Polonezköy with farewell picnic, a drive into the countryside and along the coast of the holiday villages surrounding Istanbul.
  At about 5pm : Final meeting for coordinators to review and discuss final details and future projects and partnerships
  Free time for a last 'Sunday-Turkish-Night-Fever'
   
• May 11th
  07.20 am Transfer to Airport for Northern Ireland 2 people
  06.30 Czech Republic to Ataturk Airport transfer.
  10.30 am : Transfer to airport for people leaving, France, Switzerland, Germany, Italy and Finland.
  09.00 am : Remaining guests (Romania and Italy) will join in classes if they wish or will be free to tour on their own.
  5.00 pm: Dinner Meal at Teachers' House or dönerci?
  7.00 pm: Back to hotels. Early night for early departure.
   
• May 12th
  03.00 am: Transfer to airport of participants from Italy (Reachout project) and Romania...
